LeaguesA league is a series of events that are grouped together and have additional league organization and scoring capabilities. League CreationTo create a new league, click on the "LEAGUES" tab, then on "Create New League". The basic league creation page is very similar to the new event page. You may identify that a league is "Public". After marking a league as public you are provided with a link allowing anybody to view league information and statistics. Non-public leagues may only be accessed by players via the link provided in e-mail notifications. Default information provided in the league are used whenever an event is created, but may be modified on an event by event basis after the league events are created. Once a league is created you are provided with 5 tabs:
Adding League EventsAfter a league is created, click on the "LEAGUE EVENTS" tab to add events to your league. You may add events to a league at any time. An event name is optional. If you do not provide an event name, the event will be named the date/time of the event. Once events are added to the league, you may edit each individual event as needed. The events will initially use the default information provided in the "LEAGUE INFORMATION" tab. Closed Events vs Open Events - "Closed Events" are events that are past the event date and time. If you set an event to be at 7pm on a Wednesday, you will see that event move to the "Closed Events" after 7pm. Once an event is closed, you may take the additional steps needed to calculate player points. If you select a league event, you are provided with 4 additional links.
Event Info Event Info is the the basic event information including name, location, time, etc. You can also manage and add comments. Event Players Because players are added to the entire league and not to individual events, you may not remove players from this screen. Here you can send notifications to players, view player responses, and modify player responses (i.e. override). Players can access league and event information once sent a "notification" e-mail. The notification e-mail contains a link that allows the player to view league and event information, as well as respond "In" or "Out" in events and to post comments (players have access to all events they are in). To send notifications, go to an event and select "Event Players". From here you may select players you wish to notify and click "With Selected: Send Notification" Go!! Click the "Modify Player Responses" to change/override player responses. Event Rank After an event is closed, you may rank the order in which the players go out in the event. The league point structure selected will use this information to generate event and league total points. Simply drag and drop the player names to order. Order the players so that the last player (chip leader) is #1. The second last player to go out should be #2, and so on. Event Points After an event is closed and ranked (see "Event Rank") you may view player points for this particular event. You may also make point adjustments as needed (such as penalizations for re-buys or bonus points for bounties). Adding League PlayersYou can add/remove players from a league at any time. Click on the "LEAGUE PLAYERS" tab to manage the players in the league. Players must be in your "CONTACTS" to be added to the league. Because a league is a series of events, you only add players to the league, not to each individual event. If you add a player from the league, the player is added to all league events. If you remove a player from the league, the player is removed from all league events. To add players to a league, click on "LEAGUE PLAYERS" and then click on "Add Players from Contacts". Click "Current Players" to view the players currently in the league. Defining a Point StructureTo identify how a league is scored, click on the "POINT STRUCTURE" tab. There are currently 3 available scoring structures. Absolute Points Points are distributed to players based on rank and are a straight value based on their rank in this event. Relative Reverse Order Points are distributed to players based on the number of participating players in each event. Players receive their reverse rank (times multiplier if applicable) in points. Neau's Formula Points are calculated by a combination of:
